Lawns or something else...

Lawns or something else...

This joke is quite old, but it's time to remember it - how a government official did not follow the law because he was "lawn mowers" and not for him... Old and not even funny!

But it really is time to remember it, and I'll tell you why right now!

In the euphoria of the 1990s, when international companies timidly started making investment plans for Bulgaria, it was important to have enough manpower and a niche market here. And opportunities for privatization. There were in abundance.

After that came the King’s government, brought calmness to business and investors, the most important thing were low taxes and cheap labor. And there they were, even though we failed to present them well abroad, somehow this remained the unknown secret of Bulgaria to the world. The low taxes are still there, but they are not as attractive as the consistency of the state's policies.

Whichever investor hears that Bulgaria is having its fifth parliamentary election in two years, hе gets goosebumps, and he draws a big line with a thick marker on any investment plans here. Because nothing is more important than laws. Don't touch, don't even touch...

And they should be for the people, especially for the investors, because they create good job opportunities, income and even better lives to these people. The Bulgarians.
